
Year 3 - Be a baker!
This scheme of work has been developed to enable pupils to learn how bread from around the world can contribute to a healthy, varied diet. Pupils will also learn more about where their food comes from and how different ingredients are produced (e.g. flour) and use research and tasting to design and make a bread safely and hygienically.
Aims
- Pupils will investigate bread including how it is made and the varieties found around the world.
- Pupils will learn about the role of bread, and meals which include bread, in a healthy, varied diet.
- Pupils will practice bread making skills while working safely and hygienically.
- Pupils will design, make and evaluate their own bread dish.
