These are apple trees growing in an orchard.

The apples are the tree’s fruit, and when they are ready to eat they can be picked with a gentle twist.

Do you know what this is?  It’s a parsnip, but you can’t see much of it because parsnips grow under ground.

Guess what else likes to grow under ground?  Carrots of course! 

Carrots and parsnips are roots.

Cabbages are leaves.
