Start by preparing the vegetables:
- peel and dice the onion
- cut away the top and bottom of the carrot, peel and dice
- remove the outer layer of the leek, cut away the top and bottom of the leek, then slice it
- cut the celery into chunks
- and finally peel and cube the potato
Put the saucepan on the hob. Turn on the heat.
Add the oil and fry all the vegetables, except the potatoes, for 5 minutes.
