Resources for careers leads

Welcome to the pHood Futures area for careers leads. Here you will find resources to promote careers in 'food' that use science.  

Below there are case studies around careers in 'food' which demonstrate a number of career pathways. There is also a downloadable poster.  Further case studies can be found in the main Careers in food area of the website. Additional case studies, along with video case studies, will also be added in time.

We are working with a number of organisations to support your careers work in school, including:

• Chilled Education - there is some great information about a variety of careers in food manufacturing along with resources for teachers to use in the classroom. We have provided the locations of the pHood Futures partner schools and they are currently identifying food industry ambassadors who can come into school and speak to pupils during an assembly or careers event. 
• LEAF Education
• National Farmers Union Education - NFU Education provides resources that convey important messages about food, farming, and nutrition through a cross‑curricular, project‑based approach. The NFU also offers you the opportunity to have two engaging, enthusiastic speakers visit your school to spark discussion and debate as part of an engaging, interactive assembly or group discussion. Two NFU trained farmers will facilitate a 45‑minute session with media content, quizzes, farming myth‑busting and plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions.
