A one day conference and exhibition organised by Leeds City Council in partnership with Food - a fact of life.

Description

Food - a fact of life is delighted to be working with The Health and Wellbeing Service at Leeds City Council to bring you this exciting and innovative event. The conference will include learning on the NEW Health Education Curriculum (healthy eating), Ofsted and preparing for a deep dive in Cooking and Nutrition.

The conference is aimed at ALL teachers regardless of career stage and will provide insight into the national food and nutrition issues that impact the lives and education of children and young people.

There will be presentations and workshops being delivered by Roy BallamFrances Meek and Claire Theobald of the British Nutrition Foundation in the fields of food and nutrition education, planning schemes of work, where food comes from, food safety, classroom management and practical cooking.  There will also be a session on careers.
