Training events for the programme

A series of free training events will be held to support the Teaching Primary Food and Nutrition (TPFN) programme. Training dates and topics for year two of the Programme are available now. Further details will be emailed to primary school teachers, trainees and teaching assistants, who have registered for the TPFN programme.

All training events will support the TPFN programme. Those registered for the programme, will be able to choose to attend the events that best suit their needs.

Tue 16 Jan 2024 – 4pm    Bringing seasonality to life, using blueberries!

Tue 12 March 2024 – 4pm    Engaging parents/carers & extra curricular cooking

It is always a good idea to reflect on your learning through the TPFN programme and identify how you will use the information to develop your teaching practice or enhance teaching and learning around food and nutrition in your school.

There are two reflective documents that you could use to support your training. Remember to print them off and store them in your portfolio to evidence your learning and celebrate your success.
