FFL is managed by the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF), in partnership with the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).

Conditions for use

Use in schools

Food - a fact of life resources have been developed to be used in educational settings – to support your classroom delivery and students learning. They are provided free of charge.

Food - a fact of life resources may be used for initial or teacher training courses, as well as other staff development activities, provided that acknowledgement is given to the source and the website is stated: www.foodafactoflife.org.uk.

Food - a fact of life resources, i.e. the content (such as text, images, charts, illustrations and video), are copyrighted, and may not be used in any other publications without prior permission.

  • This does not apply to educational settings, such as schools, where the resources may be edited and/or merged into booklets or presentations to support teaching and learning within that specific setting.
  • If an original, modified, or part of a Food – a fact of life resource is shared with other teachers, for example through other websites, online resource portals and/or social media, then acknowledgment to Food - a fact of life and the website (foodafactoflife.org.uk) must be given. The resource should not be presented as your own work.

Food – a fact of life resources must not be sold, either in their entirety or in ‘parts’ of a larger resource. Permission must be sort if the resources are being provided as part of a ‘paid-for’ service.
