This section provides activity ideas and resources to help consolidate learning of food around the world, food origins, and farming and processing.

The key learning objectives are:

  • Food is produced all around the world;
  • Different types of food are grown, reared or caught, and some of this is seasonal;
  • There are a number of different stages in producing and processing food.

This section builds on the learning from the 5-7 years area. For further rigour and challenge, go to the 11-14 years area.
