A fully subsidised, hands-on training day for secondary Home Economics teachers at CAFRE’s Loughry Campus.

Description

Food - a fact of life is delighted to be returning to Northern Ireland for a face-to-face training event for secondary Home Economics teachers. This hands-on, interactive event will be held in collaboration with CAFRE and will take place at their Loughry Campus, Cookstown.

This 100% subsidised conference is aimed at trainee, early career and experienced teachers and will provide curriculum support and teaching resources for food-related KS3, GCSE & A-Level delivery.

There will be an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals, work with expert CAFRE staff, and update knowledge and skills to enhance teaching and learning of food and nutrition education.

Registration and refreshments will be from 9.00am, with a prompt start at 9.30am.  The conference will finish at 1.30pm and brunch will be provided during the morning.

The programme will mainly consist of interactive workshops where teachers will experience the fantastic facilities that CAFRE has to offer, and work with their expert staff, whilst developing their knowledge and skills to enhance their teaching and classroom delivery.

Places are limited to 60 teachers so don’t delay in booking your ticket!
