The FFL training courses are open to all teachers (trainee and practising) and teaching assistants that teach food. Training is a mix of free, discounted and paid-for.
FFL training is delivered by:
- webinars: live online events to support specific areas of food knowledge or classroom practice (recordings will also be available for ‘catch-up’);
- online training courses: longer training courses, where teachers can go through content in their own time, at their own pace;
- practical workshops: small group sessions, focusing on the development of food skills, healthy eating or learning about specific food commodities and food origins;
- conferences: larger face-to-face or online events, focusing on topical education or curriculum issues, ideal for networking and sharing good practice.

There are more Food - a fact of life webinars coming soon. Check back here regularly to find out more. In the meantime, all previous FFL webinars have been recorded and can be found on our YouTube channel.
We have been delighted to run conferences for teachers in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales this year. Copies of the speaker's presentations and video recordings from the online conference for teachers in Northern Ireland can be found in the Professional development area.
